Halloween Treat Bags
I'm thinking about Halloween already! I know it's technically still August, but it is the last day of the month! And, Halloween is just around the corner! Can you tell it's one of my favorite holidays? My family thinks I go just a little crazy decorating for it but it's so much fun.
I've been thinking about treats and always about packaging. Nothing beats plain clear cellophane bags and curling ribbon. I love these calling cards and think I'll use orange, black, white and/or purple curling ribbon to tie them up.
And I think this year I'll try this Ghoulish Eyes recipe from Paula Deen! Don't they look yummy!

Game Day!
There's nothing that says Fall and Back to School more than the start of College FOOTBALL! Living in the South means game days are serious business! As we approach the beginning of the season and we contemplate what we will be taking to tailgate, we thought we'd offer a few helpful suggestions.
If you need an invitation, look for something in your team colors. It doesn't always have to have a football on it.
Consider an upgrade from paper plates. Try melamine plates in your school colors.
Create your own coordinating tablecloth. We love these we found at Go Chic in Foley, AL.
We also really love their beverage tubs. Who knew galvanized metal could be so chic?!
Create some personalized styrofoam cups - try skipping the team mascot and go for a cute saying like these from LuvMyTeam!
Pack something yummy like these mini-muffulettas we found at Southern Living and don't forget to make them all cute and coordinated! Include a large batch of an icy beverage to soothe those throats from all that yelling.
Well, I think we now know what we'll be contributing for that first game! GO TEAM!!

Back to School
I can't believe it's that time of year again! Where did the summer go? As I'm getting one child ready for middle school and one ready to ship off to college, organization is on my mind. I believe it's the key to sanity! - at least mine anyway!
I simply adore these calendar pads!
There are several choices to choose from and I love that I can personalize one for my family and one for each child specific to their courses and activities. Maybe they'll keep up with homework this year - well one can hope, right?
And don't forget about labeling all those bookbags, lunchboxes, sports bags, etc. I love these bag tags!
Well, it's a start with getting ready for back to school!
